Announcements

August 2011 – Ooh, we've been pretty busy, we had a lot of different sites launched and more ready to launch. We recently worked on a project for Nature Magazine, a client extranet for Anareva and the soon-to-be-launching Äh Studio website. Now, we're working on a brand new start-up called upmysport.com which should be launching in Autumn.

May 2011 – Kerouapp recently launched in alpha-mode and we got our special media partners, The Guardian, to trial it for their Royal Wedding spectacular. Reporter Adam Gabbatt travelled around London town talking to Wills & Kate fans, and we received over 520,000 hits in 6 hours for our very first map.

Apr 2011 – Phew, we've been busy recently! We created Twinfluenc.es, started work on Kerouapp, plus launched a large world-wide fashion website, more details soon!

Jan 2011 – Added the Re-Format and City Vision Networks projects, plus we've moved, we're in the lovely Clerkenwell Workshops now.

Dec 2010 – Rik recently spoke at the packed-out Game On London event, curated by Mozilla Labs and Six To Start. Here's his report!

Kerouapp

Kerouapp is a mapping service, tracking your moves in real time, or in the past, using geo-located tweets on Twitter.

Working alongside founders Fleet Nation and designer Lawrence Brown, we built the Ruby on Rails back-end and wrote the front-end code.

Kerouapp uses the OAuth protocol to let users authorize their Twitter accounts and gives Kerouapp access to their geo-located data, which is updated in real time. This information is then plotted on a map with additional images, videos and audio samples.

    • Embeddable

Any Kerouapp map can be put on any blog or site, as the Guardian did for their Royal Wedding coverage

Picklive

Picklive is a real time live fantasy football game, for real money against real people during televised football matches.

We worked on versions 2 and 3 of live game interface (built on Javascript, jQuery, Strophe and XMPP), the big game interface along with design elements and UI for the main site.

All games work on all major browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, as well as the iPad and iPhone.

Picklive was started by founders of Mint Digital and is backed by Stefan Glaenzer, ex-Last.fm chairman and now founder of White Bear Yard.

      • The Live Game

Each game is 7½ mins long while a real football match is in progress. A user picks 3 players from either team and competes against others for points. Points are based on player actions in the match, e.g. a pass gets you 1 point, a goal 20 points, a yellow card –10 points. The users with the most points win a share of the prize pot.

      • iPad
      • iPicklive

The games work on most modern browsers including iPad and iPhone

Re-Format

Re-Format is a high quality architecture and graphic design studio based in Hampshire.

We worked with the client and Kulör to deliver a custom-developed site built in Python and Django to help manage all the areas of the site, including projects, content and client areas.

City Vision Networks

We worked with architectural modelling company, City Vision Networks on their client quote tool.

Working out the size and price for an area of land would have to be manually checked per quote previously.

The new Quote Tool that we built using Google Maps and Javascript, lets the client choose the exact area that they want and give City Vision Networks a perfect area and size without having to do any manual work.

Voucher
Codes

Currently one of the top 250 websites in the UK with over 2 million members, VoucherCodes is the fastest growing money saving website in the UK.

We worked with the eConversions team on initial planning and scoping of the site, plus most of the front-end coding, interfaces and parts of the back-end PHP and MySQL coding.

Features we worked on included a fully customised site search, admin centre interface, search engine optimization, custom Google Analytics tracking and local voucher search.

A lot of users were asking how could find printable restaurant vouchers for their town. The way we thought to help them out was to create a local search.
